"text": "Six Degrees of Robert Smith/The Cure!\n\nDemos for tracks from The Cure's debut album, Three Imaginary Boys, were recorded across several sessions between October 1977 and May 1978. These recordings took place at various locations, including professional studios and home settings, while the band was still known as Easy Cure.\n\nWhile these demos were recorded in 1977 and 1978, the final studio album was recorded between late 1978 and early 1979 at Morgan Studios in London\n\nThe album was eventually released on May 8, 1979. Many of the original 1977–1978 demos were later officially released on the Three Imaginary Boys [Deluxe Edition] in 2004.\n\nThe record company, Fiction, decided which songs were put on the album and running order, as well as the cover artwork, without Robert Smith's consent. "text": "Six Degrees of Robert Smith/The Cure!\n\nAfter recording the psychedelic album Blue Sunshine for the one-off project the Glove during summer 1983, Robert Smith finished off the year composing and working on two other studio albums at the same time: The Top for the Cure and Hyæna for Siouxsie and the Banshees. \n\nSmith was still the official guitarist of the Banshees while he wrote The Top. For The Top, Smith teamed up with Cure co-founding member Lol Tolhurst, who had given up drums for keyboards, and new drummer Andy Anderson, who had previously performed on the UK top 10 single \"The Lovecats.\"\n\nPorl Thompson was credited for playing saxophone on \"Give Me It.\" All the songs are credited to Smith but three tracks were co-written with Tolhurst: \"The Caterpillar\", \"Bird Mad Girl\" and \"Piggy in the Mirror.\" https://tinyurl.com/bddcuu6k"

He admitted he initially worried Smith might reject the request due to his past association with Oasis.\n\nSmith responded positively, requesting the track. He subsequently produced a remix of \"Pretty Boy\" that Gallagher described as sounding \"exactly like the Cure\""
