He shared the news with us, his 4 children, today in his typical matter-of-fact manner albeit sprinkled with some tears. We also lost our mom and his wife of more than 60 years 3 years ago to cancer. Throughout mom's battle, Dad was the most patient, supportive and loving partner anyone could ask for - an amazing role model in love + patience. \n\nDad loves archaic, early 20th century, german composed, classical music. He'd play it in the house regularly growing up and we (his kids) of course couldn't stand it. One day we stumbled across a cassette tape of Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks and asked him about it. Much to our surprise he said simply, oh yeah, that's a great album!\n\nHere's to you dad - you're amazing and a truly remarkable role model.
