Perhaps their original name Kill Yoko is a much better conveyor of what you’re getting into. Taking a lot of the punk new wave elements of yesteryear (think The Rapture, New Order or The Big Wave) and twisting them further into dissociation, the band creates an interesting mix of post-punk, industrial rock, and a little bit of Free Jazz here and there.\n\nFIt’s a tight rope to balance and could have easily fallen into try-hard caricature - but there’s a devilish post punk streak deep in the veins of KyoYoko - a need to push against convention and stir up chaos.\n\nThe band won the “new band of the year 2021” annual award of School Bar, and their debut album released in May 2022 has been selected one of the best albums by different music critics and media.\n\nVocal/Guitar/Drum machine: Cii\nSynth/Keyboard/Back Vocal: Sui\nVJ/Back Vocal: Nicole\nBass: Xi\n\nhttps://kyoyoko.band/\n@kyoyoko_official","location":1,"location_name":"Default","play_type":"trackplay"}
