It was sparse but at the same time it was all there already. I was surprised that I seemed to have written a pop song but apparently that needed to happen. \n\nI wrote This is Our Life about someone very close to me and then realised it could actually be about quite a few people in my life. It recognises the mental and sometimes physical struggle of being a creative person but it also celebrates the forces that keep us going. When we play it with the band I feel so happy. We dance. We enter joyous abandon.
