I know it's a big ask.\n\nIt’s become a deeply personal song and a place I find refuge. KEXP and you, Larry, brought that gem to me. Play or no play I’m eternally thankful for people and a station that's so open. I’ve been unemployed for more than a minute and doubled down on the amount I’m streaming live or on the archive.\n\nAppreciate you and scharlese so much. I’m sorry I can’t spell scharlese.\n--\nThanks so much, Will in Boston (and we spell it \"Sharlese:).",

I'm a born and raised New Orleanian, and when I moved to Seattle 11 years ago, I never imagined I'd find a station that had so much in common as WWOZ. I listen to the Roadhouse every year for its annual Mardi Gras show, and I frequently hear other artists like Big Freedia and Hot 8 Brass Band. I never imagined a station in Seattle could connect my two homes so beautifully. Sharing what connects us only deepens the international threads we share. This seems all the more important just days before the 20th anniversary of hurricane Katrina. Can you play some Hot 8 to celebrate this connection? Thank you all so much. --Nina on Beacon Hill",

Love hearing all the references to Seattle spots from back in the day.\n\nThanks to both of you for all you do each day 🙂",

"comment": "Thank you, Lalenya, for this kind message; \n\nHello Sharlese, Larry, KEN, and all other wonderful volunteers!\n\nI've been listening and giving/volunteering since back in the KCMU days. But it wasn't until I moved back to the Seattle area a few years ago that I started hearing Larry on a daily basis. I never thought I could need to add another dj to love alongside John, Cheryl and Kevin, but Larry's quickly became my favorite show of the day. I then realized how important keeping KEXP, and it's commitment to supporting music in all it's forms and genres, on the air at all costs. I became an amplifier because music has been the one constant source of comfort and joy in my life and KEXP has been a humongous part of that. Thank you for all of your integrity, thoughtfulness, knowledge, and hard work! Thank you to all the other members of this amazing community! KEXP forever!\n\nCould I request the updated version of The Revolution Will Not Be Televised by Brian Jackson and Black Thought?",
