From an early age, she fell in love with the improvisational art of jazz, which she has combined with the anarchic rebellion of punk with devil-may-care energy, just as she juggles references to metal, R&B, hip-hop and much more. She herself has mentioned Mr. Bungle, Björk and Deftones as sources of inspiration.\n--\n\nHer new 17-song album will be out on May 22nd.: https://www.revolvermag.com/news/ecca-vandal-announces-new-album-with-fiesty-song-sorry-crash/",

The band is part of the generation known as the \"ceasefire babies,\" who grew up in the aftermath of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement that formally ended the decades of violence in Northern Ireland known as the Troubles. "comment": "Rostam has shared the original version of “Campus,” which originally appeared on Vampire Weekend’s debut album in 2008. In a letter accompanying the release, Rostam explained how he wrote most of the song in December of 2005 while a student at Columbia University (did you know that Vampire Weekend went to Columbia University?), shortly before the band formed. He also mentioned that it was inspired by Robyn’s “Be Mine” and that the string part was recorded in his dorm room. “It’s just one cellist and one violinist that I built up into an ensemble with multi-tracking.”\n--\nThe song, alongside the original instrumental, will be released as a limited edition heavyweight 7-inch. 51 percent of the proceeds from the master recording of “Campus (Original Version)” will be donated to Palestine Legal, The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and Sudanese American Physicians Association.: https://officialrostam.store/music/campus-original-version-7/?",
