"comment": "Released on this day in 1987, \"Never Let Me Down\" was deemed an instant classic by Depeche Mode fans, with it being the most played song by the band in concert, followed by \"Personal Jesus.\"\n\nIt's famous during live shows for creating what's known as \"the wind in the cornfield\" moment, with singer Dave Gahan leading the audience in raising their arms above their heads and waving them side to side. https://tinyurl.com/mryk8cah\n\nThe song enjoyed a streaming boost in the US after it was included in the HBO series The Last Of Us. It plays on the radio in the final scene of the show's pilot episode on January 15, 2023.\n\nCraig Mazin, the co-creator of the series, selected the song because of its combination of cheerful sounds and gloomy lyrics. He believed the title of the song relates to the relationship between the two main protagonists, Joel and Ellie.\n\nDave Gahan watched the Last Of Us pilot episode in bed with his wife. \"I was falling asleep and the show came on and I was watching it a bit,\" he recalled to BBC Radio 2's Gary Davies. \"And then I fell asleep. And then suddenly in my dream, I could hear the beginning of Never Let Me Down and I sat up and like a boxer, hearing the bell, like going to go in and fight or something.\n\n\"And I heard it. And so I watched that scene and I liked it as well because the song represents that particular time in music. It represents trouble, it means trouble was coming. That was the code and I thought, 'This is perfect for that.'\" https://tinyurl.com/mvcd3b3w",

Twin brothers Jiří and Ondřej form the project, which oscillates around a combination of catchy electronic dance and techno. The central driving forces are Jiři’s live percussion/drum beats and the melodic motives and sequences created by Ondřej on analogue and modular synthesisers. \n\n Jiří Veselý explains, \"We aimed for a cohesive experience, so our tracks now span from techno to progressive techno, glitch, experimental techno, and IDM (Intelligent Dance Music). "comment": "Happy early Birthday to Jimmy James, who turns 44 tomorrow!\n\nThe Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio was founded in 2015 and originally consisted of keyboardist Delvon Lamarr (Dumas) on Hammond B-3, guitarist Colin Higgins and drummer David McGraw.\n\nSoon after guitarist Jimmy James (Williams) replaced Higgins. All members had been active instrumentalists in the Seattle music scene. With the help of Lamarr's wife, Amy Novo (AKA \"Shortcake Mafia\"), acting as manager and booking agent, the group was solidified.\n\nOriginally a drummer and trumpet player, Lamarr switched to organ at the age of 22. He said he picked up the instrument naturally by observing organist/keyboardist Joe Doria, whose band Lamarr was drumming in at the time.\n\nJames and McGraw had previously co-founded \"The True Loves\", a Seattle-based nine-piece soul band. https://tinyurl.com/2wnbc8s7",
