            "comment": "The production of Mezzanine was a stressful process. With tensions arising within the group, it almost split the band.  They disagreed about the musical direction for the new material. Robert Del Naja first started making samples from new wave records, from the likes of Wire and Gang of Four: it was the music he'd listened to in his early teens. Del Naja wanted Massive Attack to make an album having an atmosphere of edginess and paranoia present in the music of the late 1970s. Grant Marshall, also a new wave fan himself, supported this idea, as he wanted to get away from the \"urban soul\" of their previous work, Protection, but Andrew Vowles was sceptical.  The sessions continued with Vowles and Marshall working on bass and drum loops, while Del Naja carried on experimenting from new wave records. However, during the recording, the group decided to release a new track, \"Superpredators\" sampling extensively a Siouxsie and the Banshees' song called \"Metal Postcard\", for the movie soundtrack of The Jackal;  the track would be included on the Japanese version of Mezzanine.  https://bit.ly/2TqATLr",

            "comment": "Writing for The Guardian, Damien Morris described the Irish band as \"reaching back to Joy Division’s drum tattoos, interlocking with surging, wave-break bass. Pixies' quiet-loud-quiet trick is in there, as are Shame and Savages, while PJ Harvey and the Bad Seeds infest tracks such as Green and Blue.\" <Br><br>In describing the themes of their music, the band expressed eagerness for improvement in their home town: \"It just feels like there are loads of fuckin' hotels going up over Dublin, where there could be new housing,\" James hammers home. \"There are cranes all over the city.             "comment": "Total Control was formed in 2008 by Eddy Current Suppression Ring band member Mikey Young and UV Race's Dan Stewart. The pair, who came together over a shared interest of early 1980s acts such as Devo, Gary Numan, The Screamers, and The Adolescents, recorded some songs using a sampler and synthesizers at Young's home studio. They gained a following over the next few years after releasing a series of 7-inch singles and playing only a handful of live shows.  Total Control became a quintet with the additions of guitarist Al Montfort, bassist Zephyr Pavey, and drummer James Vinciguerra. The group recorded the majority of the album in Bobby Brown's Bosstown Recording Studios and Doppler Studios, both in Atlanta, Georgia. <br><br>Released as the follow-up to the duo's 1996 album ATLiens, Aquemini expands on the previous record's outer space-inspired compositions by incorporating live instrumentation. The commercial success of ATLiens allowed for more creative freedom for the group, which led to the members self-producing the majority of the tracks. To understand the music of Black Belt Eagle Scout, it helps to know a little bit about the place frontwoman Katherine Paul grew up. The artist was raised on Swinomish Indian Reservation, near La Conner, in Washington. With there only being about 1,000 people in the Swinomish tribe — and not all of them living on the reservation — Paul's community was extremely tight knit.\n<br><br>\nPaul, who now lives in Portland, Ore., still channels her community through her music. Paul says that a lot of the music on her latest album, At the Party With My Brown Friends, finds its origins in the music she heard on the reservation.\n<br><br>\nI guess I was just always surrounded by [music],\" Paul says. \"My family had a drum group... We would host pow wows and I think for me music is just a way of life.             "comment": "Radiohead worked on \"Burn the Witch\" during the sessions for their albums Kid A (2000), Hail to the Thief (2003), and In Rainbows (2007), but were not satisfied with the results. The title appears in the Hail to the Thief album artwork. Thom Yorke mentioned the song in a 2005 blog entry on Radiohead's website and posted lyrics in 2007, and briefly played chords from the song in performances in 2006 and 2008, but told the audience that Radiohead would perform it \"when we get the orchestra.\"  <br><br>Asked in 2013 about \"Burn the Witch\" and Radiohead's other unreleased songs, producer Nigel Godrich responded: \"Everything will surface one day... it all exists... and so it will eventually get there, I'm sure.\" He cited the song \"Nude,\" released on Radiohead's 2007 album In Rainbows but written 12 years prior, as an example of a song that took several years to complete. <br><br>According to guitarist Jonny Greenwood, who arranges the band's string sections, \"Burn the Witch\" was written with strings in mind. He said: \"Very rarely for us, we managed to get strings on near the beginning [of the A Moon Shaped Pool sessions]. We left it unfinished on purpose and left lots of room for the strings and we never do that usually. Usually the strings are the icing on top.\"",

The Futureheads are an English post-punk band from Sunderland, consisting of Ross Millard (vocals and guitar), Barry Hyde (vocals and guitar), David \"Jaff\" Craig (vocals and bass guitar) and Dave Hyde (drums). Their name comes from the title of The Flaming Lips album Hit to Death in the Future Head.  In an interview with Channel 4's 4Music, Barry Hyde revealed that Dave Hyde was given a golden guitar by his parents when he was young.
