"comment": "Frontman Colin Meloy said of this song in 2018:\n\"Well, it’s inspired a little bit by the guy who’s currently in the White House. I think it was written initially during the campaign, before the election, just sort of exploring that tone of voice that he was taking. The character in the song, the first-person character, is a demagogue, absolutely, so it was an exploration of, “What is demagoguery, and where does it come from?” as we were seeing this very public figure express these kind of insane and incredible sentiments in public. Of course, I think the song took on a different life once he was actually elected. But yeah, it’s sort of an exploration of the voice of a demagogue, and so hopefully people will find it reviling. I can only hope.\"",

The name Sharevari evolved from the legendary Charivari night club parties that began attracting a cult following in 1980 and was a tribute to Detroit's high school party scene. \n--\nCheck out the original by A Number of Names: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeF0xTdHPfA",

It was held together with gaffer’s tape, but it sounded really good, so I figured it was worth the $500 he was asking for it. As soon as I got it in to my studio, I started jamming on it and that’s how I came up with the groove for ‘Bust The Bus Stop’. I recorded a first version of it with BFE members Yancy Drew (drums), Paul Shapiro (sax & flute) and Bob Brockmann (trumpet) which was released on a funk compilation, but I didn’t bring the song to BFE at that time. Fast forward to last summer when I came across that old recording and thought that it would be a perfect song to pick up for the current version of the band and turn it into a party jam.\"",
