"comment": "Playing SoundOff on Saturday, February 28th at Seattle's MoPop! ALL AGES. https://www.mopop.org/programs/sound-off\n\nFrom Sammamish, WA! Depose is a genre-defying band blending prog metal, hard rock, and post-hardcore with breakcore energy and cinematic storytelling. Their sound builds from delicate restraint to explosive release, echoing the spirit of the 70s-90s while tackling modern themes with raw honesty and artistry. \n\nDepose began as a lifelong musical journey between siblings Nikita and Nikhil Quadros, who were both raised on a foundation of classical training. After a few early iterations, they eventually crossed paths with drummer Neev Ambale and bassist Andrew Rousselle - a lineup that clicked instantly, blending eclectic taste, technical ability, and a shared creative drive. The band first came together in 2022, but it was over the following year that Depose truly found its sound and solidified into what it is today.https://deposeband.com/\n\nKEXP has a free education program teaching young people the art of music curation and radio called 90.TEEN. Each week a different teen DJ in our current 90.TEEN cohort plays an hour-long set of music.\n\nThis past Saturday’s 90.TEEN DJ was DJ T! DJ T is a 15-year-old singer-songwriter from the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. He’s learning how to play several instruments including guitar, ukulele, piano and glockenspiel. He says he is grateful for the DJs and music discovery at KEXP that has inspired him to pursue making music himself.\n\nThis week, DJ T did a show highlighting Seattle’s Sound Off music showcase! It’s a music event for 21-and-under artists put on by the Museum of Pop Culture. https://www.kexp.org/shows/90.-teen/",

Their journey began unexpectedly in the fall of 2022, as a group of bussers from a local seafood joint decided to unwind with a jam session after work. What might appear to be restrained, introspective compositions will stretch slowly outward, snagging your attention with a sideways guitar lead or an exceptionally raw lyric you didn’t catch the first time around.
