It opens up a myriad of things that you would never normally be thinking about, responsibilities on a new level.\"\n\nhttps://tinyurl.com/47a9yfur",

"comment": "Hi John! It’s David and Tara on the PCT. Last time we talked we were in Bridgeport, California over 1200 miles ago. We finally made it to Washington state and are in the last leg of our stretch. An unexpected wild fire has broken out on Whites Pass and has us reflecting on what we experienced while we listen to KEXP in Packwood.\n\nAs we climb into the alpine we would love to hear Fearless by Pink Floyd. It reminds us of all our backpacking trips here with our friends back in Seattle and how far we have come to finally get to the end. It’s a bitter sweet ending but still have 340 more miles to go before hitting the northern terminus where we will be reunited with our dog and lots of hugs and love awaits from our friends.\n\nWe are looking forward to listening to your morning show while we figure out what our new future will hold. Thank you KEXP for always being here to wake us and get us moving! \n\nTake care,\nDavid and Tara\n\nPS: The Runcast is not only for running but great to listen to while hiking as we have listened to it multiple times on repeat over the miles.",

"comment": "Seattle artist Tomo Nakayama’s fourth album \"Ocean\" will be released on November 7th in the USA on Porchlight Records/Den Tapes, and in Japan on Lemon House Inc. Following his breakthrough 2020 synthpop album \"Melonday\", “Ocean” is Nakayama’s return to a graceful, lush full band sound, backed by pianist Yuuki Matthews (The Shins), bassist Abbey Blackwell (Alvvays), and drummer Christopher Icasiano (Fleet Foxes). It is his most personal and complete musical statement to date, a self-produced ten song reflection on grief, healing, and the meaning of creating art and maintaining humanity in a tumultuous world. “Ocean” deftly trapezes across sonic worlds of dream pop, orchestral acoustic folk, improvisational psychedelia and indie rock, all tied together by its wide open melodic and lyrical heart. The accompanying video for the first single was directed by Sung Park and stars the singer's nephew, Russell. \"Ocean\" is the title track of a deeply collaborative album awash in images of the sea, serving as metaphors for the vastness of love, human connection, and our capacity to clearly see and be one with the world.\nhttps://tomomusic.bandcamp.com/album/ocean",

He recalled in Q magazine: \"We were signing copies of our single, 'She Bangs The Drums,' in a Manchester record shop called Eastern Bloc. The owner said we could pick a couple of albums as a thank you and I picked out a breakbeats album because I liked the cover and I wanted to see what it was all about. That's where I heard the 'Funky Drummer' loop that we built 'Fools Gold' around.\"",

My mom, brother and I...\n==\nDiamond performed this on The Johnny Cash Show, where he explained: \"This song was written about a revival meeting I was at in Jackson, Mississippi. I went there because I was curious, and also because I was a college kid who had all the answers - no one was going to teach me anything and I could lay a few answers on them. I sat in the back of this tent meeting and I got really caught up in the music - clapping, the singing - tremendously exciting.\"\n- https://www.songfacts.com/facts/neil-diamond/brother-loves-traveling-salvation-show",
