"comment": "Off Television's 1977 debut album, Marquee Moon originally started as an acoustic song, however, as they played live shows and perfected it in rehearsals over the years, the end sound is much different. The interplay here between guitarists Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd is extraordinary. Verlaine primarily used a 1958 Jazzmaster with a sunburst finish, anodized aluminum pickguard and two single-coil soapbar pickups, while Lloyd largely played a ’61 Stratocaster with jumbo frets, both typically through Fender Super Reverbs. Enjoy a discussion of this masterpiece: https://www.fender.com/articles/fender-performances/one-track-mind-television-shines-under-the-marquee-moon",

"comment": "Tsunami played Live on KEXP in April! \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xbOZsVcdAE\n\n\"Tsunami formed in Arlington, VA in late 1990, when [Jenny] Toomey and [Kristin] Thomson were housemates at Arlington, Virginia’s legendary punk-activist Positive Force house. Toomey, formerly of Geek and Slack, persuaded bassist Andrew Webster to relocate from Austin, TX; drummer John Pamer, another former Positive Force resident, completed the initial line-up. Over the next seven years, Tsunami wrote and recorded prolifically, releasing three full-length albums and over a dozen seven-inch singles and EPs...\"\n\nRead more here:\nhttps://tsunami.band/bio",

Simultaneously intimate and elaborate, Belong features memorable guitar licks, electronic flourishes, infectious hooks, and muddied vocals that wash over listeners. Across 11 captivating tracks, Duterte explores the tension of being pulled in different directions while trying to find her place in the world,\" writes KEXP's Music Director, Chris Sanley. \n\nhttps://www.kexp.org/read/2025/10/14/new-music-reviews-1013/",

"comment": "Heavenly have a new two-sided single, Portland Town. According to their bandcamp page, this release teases an album forthcoming in 2026!\n\n\"Heavenly formed in 1989 from the ashes of legendary Oxford band Talulah Gosh, in which all four original members – Amelia Fletcher (vocals/guitar), Peter Momtchiloff (guitar), Rob Pursey (bass) and Mathew Fletcher (drums) – had played. Cathy Rogers joined later on keyboards/vocals. They released five singles and three albums on Sarah Records and then, after Sarah ended, a final album on Wiiija/K [Records].\" \n\nhttps://heavenly.bandcamp.com/music",
