Dawn was an American hip hop and R&B act that formed in 1988 by the brothers Attrell Cordes (known by his stage name Prince Be, sometimes credited as Prince Be the Nocturnal) and Jarrett Cordes (known as DJ Minutemix) in Jersey City, New Jersey. They earned significant crossover success in the early 1990s with music that merged hip hop, older soul, and more pop-oriented urban R&B.\nhttps://bit.ly/3dgd93X",

KEXP's Music Director Chris Sanley reviews: \n\"Over three decades into his career as Nightmares on Wax, Leeds-based DJ and producer George Evelyn returns with his tenth studio album and a star-studded guest list including Yasiin Bey, Greentea Peng, Sadie Walker, Liam Bailey, and more. This new collection plays like a biopic, melding the past with the present while showcasing Evelyn’s captivating fusion of hip-hop, electronic, dub, and soul. The result is a sound that feels both fluid and structured, always anchored by a bona fide groove. Finally we said, Let's do this joke-song properly and see what happens.\" The music was recorded with legendary producer John Leckie who had previously worked with Pink Floyd, The Human League and even The Beatles. \n\nThe song is one of the times that the band combined all of their influences to create something totally new. After four and a half minutes of sharp vocals and lyrics, \"I Am the Resurrection\" takes an unexpected turn. The song transitions into an instrumental outro that lasts another four minutes, transforming from a rock anthem into a euphoric, almost danceable jam session.\n\nSpeaking to NME about the instrumental, Mani revealed: \"The end section was recorded in one take by me, John and Reni.\" https://tinyurl.com/nymn9t3w",
