The title reads like a promise—an “eternal rhythm” that keeps going even when everything else wobbles—and the song leans into that idea with forward momentum and a clean, modern sheen. Rather than feeling overstuffed, it feels focused: a steady pulse, a hook that suggests lift, and a sense of movement that’s as emotional as it is physical. As an opener, it does the essential job well: it establishes tone, attitude, and velocity, offering a gateway into the larger arc of “BRILLA BRILLA.” There’s also something quietly defiant in the brightness—music that insists on motion as a form of resilience, turning intensity into something you can dance with instead of drown in. “Ritmo Eterno” lands as an invitation to stay with the feeling: not a fleeting rush, but a rhythm you carry forward, glowing even after the track ends.\u2028Listen: https://music.apple.com/us/song/ritmo-eterno/1867086080","location":1,"location_name":"Default","play_type":"trackplay"},{"id":3622412,"uri":"https://api.kexp.org/v2/plays/3622412/?format=json","airdate":"2026-02-26T04:01:34-08:00","show":66032,"show_uri":"https://api.kexp.org/v2/shows/66032/?format=json","image_uri":"https://coverartarchive.org/release/25047a6e-7f1c-4780-afdc-29f629ff4e1f/41911713508-500.jpg","thumbnail_uri":"https://coverartarchive.org/release/25047a6e-7f1c-4780-afdc-29f629ff4e1f/41911713508-250.jpg","song":"El gran varón","track_id":null,"recording_id":"02dc9d8f-03cb-4fb2-81d6-59eb1112d1d5","artist":"Willie Colón","artist_ids":["f1edfbed-9315-4550-859c-599cc3fdee57"],"album":"Top Secrets","release_id":null,"release_group_id":"ad6cb20a-5ee6-40a1-ad39-ba21ce6ac7d9","labels":["Fania"],"label_ids":["a00f1d54-2e47-492b-b24b-3b994b2ba0c4"],"release_date":"1989-01-01","rotation_status":null,"is_local":false,"is_request":false,"is_live":false,"comment":"Willie Colón, the legendary trombonist, producer, and social activist who redefined salsa music, passed away Saturday at the age of 75. It was originally released December 14, 1992, as part of the \"Protect Ya Neck\"/\"After the Laughter Comes Tears\" single by Wu-Tang Records.  When it created an underground buzz, Wu-Tang signed with Loud Records and released it on May 3, 1993, with \"Method Man\" on its B-side. That single sold 10,000 copies.\n\nThe album version of the song (even the explicit versions of the album) is edited to scratch out all profanity, save for repeated use of the word nigga. On the original recording version of the song, Inspectah Deck's verse came second, but RZA changed it to first in the order. The original beat was totally different, and all Wu-members were in a different order. \n\nRZA just said \"I just need y'all voices\" and Wu entered the studio the next morning and RZA arranged everything, including the karate chops. The person who rings into a radio station at the start of the song was from an interview Wu did. Wu did the interview on a radio station WPGC in Washington, DC. Different segments of the same interview are placed at different parts of the album.  https://bit.ly/2MBZYfV","location":1,"location_name":"Default","play_type":"trackplay"}]}
