As much as I am still so sad at her loss and her pain, reflecting on her life in her death. I also feel so much gratitude. I am grateful for how much time we had together and how much she wanted to give me and everybody to spend time with her. I’m grateful for all of the care and love she received during her illness and death. Everybody that we interacted with, and all of the people who helped behind the scenes at Fred Hutch, and the providers at Whitby home hospice, enabled her to navigate her illness and death on her terms, which was so important to her. I was able to be with my mom when she died. The next day I found out my extremely sweet and close dog, Penny, I was going to lose lose her too. \n\nI learned so much for my mom including a love for animals. And one of her favorite songs was \"Teach Your Children Well\" by Crosby stills Nash and Young. Love if you could play it a memory of her and Penny. Love to all feeling your feelings today, it helps me to know that there’s so many out there going through similar difficulties.\"", "location": 1, "location_name": "Default", "play_type": "trackplay" }
