"comment": "Kathryn in MT: \n\nGreetings KEXP gang and fellow listeners. I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 breast cancer in 2018 at 35 years old. I knew that I would kick cancer's ass eventually, but first I needed a 'f*** cancer' playlist to get me through it. The Clash and Foo Fighters for surgery days, Neko Case and Future Islands for treatment days and the entire Beatles catalogue for everything else. I didn't know exactly what was in the chemo cocktail, but I knew that rock and roll was always pumping in veins. (and surgery scars are about as punk rock as it gets.)\n\nThankfully, I am 6 years clean (NED) and feeling great thanks to the support of my loved ones and amazing medical team. To the people who are currently going through treatment - keep keeping on and never underestimate the power of music. It saved my life and I know it will do the same for you.\n\nThank you so much for letting me share my story and thank you for playing amazing music 24/7. I love you KEXP!\n---\nSending good vibes and love to Neko Case guitarist, Jon Rauhouse, fighting cancer.\n\nhttps://nekocase.substack.com/p/cancer-fun",
