He attended Sheerwater Secondary School where he formed The Jam in the early 1970s with fellow schoolmates Weller and Foxton. \n\nFollowing the band’s split in 1982, Buckler formed Time UK. After that group disbanded, he got into production, operating a studio in Islington, England. He took a break from music in the mid-1990s and began working as a carpenter.
