"comment": "\"Papa Was a Rollin' Stone\" was written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong in 1971. It was first released in May 1972 by The Undisputed Truth. Later in 1972, Whitfield cut a 12-minute version of the track with The Temptations - who considered it to be the last real classic they recorded. The A-side of this single won the Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance By A Duo, Group Or Chorus, and the B-side instrumental version took the award for Best R&B Instrumental Performance.\n--\nThe great guitars are from Funk Brothers masters Melvin \"Wah Wah Watson\" Ragin and Paul Warren.\n--\nHere are the fabulous Temptations doing their number 1 hit \"Papa Was A Rollin' Stone\" live at a festival in Chicago in 1972.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZNkM0CI46g",
