This is because I’ve been focused and working on a ton of music. I usually try to avoid hyperbole, and I’m not super-comfortable hyping up my own stuff, but things are about to get pretty exciting. My heroes De La Soul were kind enough to join me on the debut single, 'Rocket Fuel,' and the collab encapsulates so much of what I love about hip-hop…energy, beats, and fun.”",

"comment": "The song title refers to \"Buffalo\", a group of photographers, models, musicians, hair and makeup artists, etc. formed by fashion stylist Ray Petri, of which group Cherry, Morgan, and McVey were all members. The song's title is also a reference to the Malcolm McLaren song \"Buffalo Gals\" (1983), which \"Buffalo Stance\" samples. Other samples came from Rock Steady Crew's \"Hey You\", and the saxophone break is from the band Miami's song \"Chicken Yellow\" (1974).\n

\nCherry notably performed the song live on Top of the Pops while seven months pregnant. When asked by a reporter if it were safe for her to go up on stage performing, Cherry answered: \"Yes, of course! It's not an illness.\" https://bit.ly/2t0hS3G",

"comment": "Matthew Dear doesn’t call himself King Chameleon lightly. The Texan-born producer, DJ, sometime University of Michigan lecturer and leftfield electronic artist has spent almost 20 years operating under a range of pseudonyms – Audion, Jabberjaw and False – and rifling through genres like a sock drawer. The fifth album under his own name is no different, but mostly he channels an eclectic range of loosely post-punk-era styles into heavy electronics. It’s an engaging listen, as a variety of grooves frame Dear’s slightly treated, almost narrated, sometimes agitated vocals. https://bit.ly/2kLBLtI",

"comment": "BOY HARSHER is a dark electronic duo that produces gritty dance beats infused with ethereal vocals, creating a sound that is eerie, intense and incredibly danceable. Augustus Muller develops the underbelly of sound with minimal beats and grinding synths, where Jae Matthews whispers, screams and chants on top. Together, the music created is somewhere between industrial, drone and confessional storytelling. Muller and Matthews both have a strong background in film and their cinematic approach translates effectively in both their recordings and live performance.\n\nBoy Harsher started in early 2013 under the name Teen Dreamz. The project was based on short stories written and read by Matthews then live scored by Muller. As the project matured the instrumentals became more dance influenced and Matthews’ delivery became more dynamic and spontaneous. In January of 2014 Teen Dreamz took on the moniker Boy Harsher. https://boyharsher.com/about",

Swansea is deeply personal, and is about my experiences with various forms of loss, the solitude that comes with it, and finding strength in remembering how to stand on my own two feet. I started writing some of these songs as early as 2014, and have been dreaming up this record and working on it ever since. I had the honor and pleasure of collaborating with producer Nathan Yaccino, who helped me craft my music to sound like I always dreamed it would. Making Swansea was one of the most soul-fulfilling things I have ever done, and I am so grateful to you for being on this wild ride with me!\" https://bit.ly/2lQVfNR",

"comment": "To listen to Head Over Heels from the vantage point of 30 years is to rediscover an album that at once is a bold step forward in establishing a unique identity in British independent music as well as building a bridge to a place of odd and strange beauty. It doesn’t matter now any more than it did then that the songs are shrouded in a wilful and perverse mystery that will forever elude interpretive consensus. What is important is that this remains a unique collection of music in a body of work that’s often been imitated but rarely equalled. Moreover, the Cocteau Twins’ power to enthral and beguile with their second album remains undiminished and subsequent visits prove as enriching as when they first revealed themselves to an unsuspecting world. https://bit.ly/2kzGkYi",

He spent most of his life in prison, but for the most part, he was around me a lot. Very supportive. I was introduced to pit bulls by my brother. He was always dropping me off dogs. We have an interesting relationship. We’re almost 15-year difference in age, and we lived two different lives. Most people didn’t believe he was my brother, until later on. He was always in a special place in my heart. We were really close. Really tight, good dude, very strong personality. While attending Jewell Christian Academy, Staton's vocal abilities was quickly noticed by her peers and the school's pastor. Amazed by her voice, The pastor paired Staton and her sister with a third girl; Naomi Harrison and they formed the Jewell Gospel Trio. As teenagers, the group toured the traditional gospel circuit during in the 1950s with the Soul Stirrers, C. L. Franklin and Mahalia Jackson.
